First Presbyterian Church of Matawan, New Jersey

Welcome to the First Presbyterian Church of Matawan! We are a fellowship of men, women, youth, and children who worship and work together. We try to reach out to everyone who is interested in becoming a part of our common life and ministry.

This congregation is old in terms of its history, but young in terms of its style and its enthusiasm. We seek to share what we have come to know and to welcome everyone, without exception, who wishes to become a part of our fellowship. From inclusive language in our worship to handicapped access in our building, we seek to illustrate the open arms of this congregation and of the Lord it worships.

This congregation comes from a great variety of national, racial, economic, and denominational backgrounds, so our ministry is varied and wide-spread. We are strongly committed to mission, both local and world-wide. We are deeply involved in building and maintaining solid education and youth programs. Our music program is large and inviting, and our staff is dedicated to serving our congregation and community as fully and well as possible.
