Easter Prayer Vigil
The Easter Vigil is one of the more difficult services to characterize. Rather than a true worship built around a predictable liturgy, it is a time of prayer and reflection that is set by the participant. The vigil is usually divided into half-hour segments with a prescribed series of readings from the scriptures accompanied by suggested prayers and a time for meditation and free prayer. Worships are free to set their own schedule as to when to participate and how long they commit to these devotions.
